The longest string of corporate downsizings to hit the country

He was a mature man, not old by any standards, who still had a lot of music left in him and wanted to finish the journey that he started: to see, do and acquire all of the things he had dreamed of as a youngster, and therein find the happiness he yearned for all his life, which now, sadly, appeared well out of reach. As Bob walked along the shores of his favorite lake, he recalled all of the times he had visited it just to enjoy the water’s view and the warm summer breeze. It always provided the atmosphere to let the pressing issues of the day melt and fall way. Bob found that whenever he came down to the lake his mind was set free to consider clearly any problem that refrigeration repair in brooklyn ny stood before him. Today seemed different though, as he struggled to try and put things in perspective and map out his next move. Bob’s mind raced as he tried to filter through his brain’s database of options, contacts, opportunities, risks, rewards, and expectations. Bob was desperately seeking answers to the question that had been burning through his neurons all night long...now what do I do? As he walked along the water’s edge, Bob found a large boulder that could provide some respite, so he sat on it and gazed across the gleaming surface of the lake. He noticed some ducks as he had been walking but paid little attention to the flock. As he sat there perplexed in his thinking he noticed one of the ducks swimming towards him. He thought to himself look at that, an innocent little duck swimming care-free without a concern in the world the thought of the duck for some reason shifted his mood and brightened his disposition to the point he forgot all about his problems, and began instead playing the mental game of what if in his mind. It was a game he had learned early on in his career as a means of letting go of habitual ways of thinking;a way, really, to allow creative thoughts to come to the surface. He thought to himself, what if the duck could talk, I wonder what it would say, do ducks go through recessions, do they have emotional issues, do they have goals and careers, what would they do in a crisis? To Bob’s surprise, the duck continued toward him. It seemed to swim faster, almost as if Bob’s thoughts were an invitation to the duck. As the duck approached land’s edge, it hopped onto the shore and proceeded to waddle toward Bob.
